We’ve reached the seventh session of our training, and our dedicated SEN trainees from CFSC are diving into the world of recycling used bath products. Through this job training, they’re acquiring both soft and hard skills essential for the workplace.
Our amazing instructor from CFSC, Peggy, has noticed incredible progress in every student. Their ability to learn and adapt to new things has soared! Take student C, for example. Compared to the first session, C has become much better at listening to others’ opinions and instructions. Peggy even joked, “He used to meticulously fold his scarf before starting work, but now, if you ask him to start, he’ll come right over, scarf folded casually.”
Beyond learning and accepting new concepts, Peggy emphasizes the importance of cultivating the right work mentality through job training. Trainees grasp that they’re in paid employment, which requires following instructions, being punctual, collaborating in teams, and effectively communicating with others. Although trainee C had previous work experience, he often struggled to understand instructions and repeated the same mistakes. However, after the training, C’s obedience and responsiveness have significantly improved. He can now listen to instructions and respond accordingly.
Moreover, Peggy highlights that training not only enhances soft skills but also improves work abilities. Trainee T, for instance, has developed greater hand dexterity by repeatedly squeezing bottles, exercising finger muscles, and showcasing more versatility than ever before.
We’re thrilled to witness our trainees’ growth and the positive impact of this training programme. Stay tuned for more inspiring updates on their journey!
