Mainland China
In Mainland China, Soap Cycling began operations in 2016 with the support of Ming Fai Group, in Shenzhen. To date, Soap Cycling is mainly operated by students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
Since 2019, soap is collected from over 150 hotels, and thousands of volunteers are recruited from different companies, organizations, and schools to reprocess the soap. All soap is then distributed without charge to underdeveloped regions.

Community Empowerment
In Mainland China, Soap Cycling works very closely with the Shenzhen Renai Social Work Service Centre to organize the Star Soaper Project which provides employment opportunities to autistic persons.
Engaging Volunteers
Our volunteers come from various walks of life, school students, corporates, hotel staff and more – all tied together with their passion for sustainability and a desire to see equitable access of health and hygiene resources for everyone.
Promoting Health Education
Student health education has been at the forefront of Soap Cycling’s mission and in Mainland China, this is being accomplished through school education campaigns, comic books on health and hygiene and in-school distribution of hygiene kits.
Youth Empowerment
We are nurturing the next generation of impact leaders through our student internship programmes. Contributing over 10,000 hours of work per year, these students are the driving force for the operations in Mainland China
