October 15 is the Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. .

, unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) is still responsible for the deaths of around 400,000 children under the age of 5 each year, or 1,000 every day.
To promote equitable hygiene and environmental conservation, Soap Cycling has been collecting used bar soap, liquid soap and soap dispensers from hotels, and recycled over 3.7M soap bars which is sufficient for over 310,000 people.
