Time goes by in the blink of an eye, and the last day of the trip is upon us in an instant. As the sun rose over the hotel, our team all gathered for one last breakfast together, savoring the flavors and memories of our time in the Philippines.
Unfortunately, our plans hit a snag when our flight at Iloilo was delayed by two hours. Nevertheless, we made the most of our time at the airport, chatting and playing games with each other, while reviewing the incredible experiences in the past few days.
Eventually, we landed in Hong Kong at midnight. Though we were physically tired, our spirits were soaring with the memories of the people we had met, the places we had seen, and the impact we had made, feeling grateful for the unforgettable journey we had shared.
Looking back on our experiences, we realized that this trip had taught us a powerful lesson: that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world. Whether it was teaching children to wash their hands or delivering soap to communities in need, we had seen firsthand how our efforts could improve the lives of others and create positive change. Raising our heads, seeing another plane ascend into the night sky, we knew that we would always cherish the memories of our service trip to Iloilo, Philippines.
Reflecting on the encounters we had shared, we are deeply thankful for the memories and impact we created, meanwhile we also hope to inspire others to consider service trips of their own. Lastly, thank you again to the local staff and volunteers, our fellow travelers, and the Soap Cycling and ICM organizations, and all the other supporting parties for making this life-changing experience possible. See you next time!
Together, we make a great difference! Together, we build a better future!
