Hello! Namaste! I am Navpreet, I am a Hong Kong born Indian. I am a full-time student at HKU studying Economics and Finance. I work as an Operation Team intern in Soap Cycling where I have met great people from different backgrounds. The concept of recycling soap stuck me a lot since it was the first time I heard about it, it was intriguing which made me want to learn more so of course I had to join this internship. I have learnt so much already about how soap is recycled, where it is sent to. It is also very satisfying when you can personally meet the recipients of our service. The responses they give are heartwarming and the smiles on their faces make all efforts worth it. There are many more things that I learnt since we held different events as well for our 10th anniversary. The preparation for events, division of work and the event days themselves, all these processes have taught me something. Joining this internship has definitely made me more environmentally friendly and I hope I can continue to be more eco-friendly after the internship!
