Global Programme for HKUST Rotaract Club

by | Hong Kong, Jockey Club Start with Soap, Recycling

We’ve just kicked off our second round of Global Programme with a group of smart and energetic students from the HKUST Rotaract Club. The Global Programme is part of our 3-year Jockey Club “Start with Soap” Empowerment Project, aiming to provide youth participants an opportunity to have a basic understanding of how a global NGO operates, know more about the community and economy of another side of the world, as well as training up some of their hard and soft skills.
To start with, our participants had a brief introduction to Soap Cycling and a taste of how soaps can be recycled. They also prepared some greeting cards with heart-warming messages, which are hygiene brochures two-in-one, to be packed together with soaps and other hygiene items. They will be distributed to our beneficiaries later.
The second session of the Global Programme is a basic video production workshop, in which they learnt how they could produce a simple but nice video using basic tools and software. Upcoming, they will proceed to the next part of our programme and connect with our Philippines team. Stay tuned!
