This week the Soap Cycling team also visited another community partner, ImpactHK, to catch up on the demand of the homeless for soap.
ImpactHK provides direct holistic support to people experiencing homelessness and empower them to transform their lives.
We met Adrian from ImpactHK at their 029 guestroom. This place is multifunction and inclusive to build community connections for the homeless. We came across the Médecins Sans Frontières team to give a health talk there. The place is equipped with different basic electrical appliances for the use of people in need, and provides free meals.
Then we went to their hostel which not only could provide 72 people with shelter, but also different types of talk and activities to restore the mental and physical wellbeing of them.
Soap Cycling is really impressed by the devotion of ImpactHK to the support to the homeless, and is grateful to them for giving the meaningful second life of the soap amenities collected from hotels.
On the social impact journey, Soap cycling is so encouraged by having these great and supporting friends, with whom we could gain more power and empower more people.
